Punjab is one of the fastest growing light engineering hubs. Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala, Sangrur, Moga, Hoshiarpur and SAS Nagar (Mohali) host many light engineering companies. The state is planning a cluster around the Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala and DMW, Patiala, plus a Light Engineering Park along the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor and Amritsar Kolkata Industrial Corridor.
